Cremorne is fast becoming a haven for creative types, with boutique design offices, advertising agencies and graphic design studios popping up all over the place. The crew behind Port Melbourne’s Rocco & Coe saw the creative shift happening, and decided to do something about it, taking up shop on Stephenson Street and bringing some lunch-time fun to the neighbourhood.

After Rocco & Coe’s success, brothers Damian and Nathan Coe decided to head east, bringing with them their simple yet satisfying menu. The concept at Coe & Coe is almost identical to Rocco’s, but with a slightly larger fitout, meaning customers can enjoy a longer and more relaxed lunch.

The brothers wanted to create a place where people can enjoy a quick yet satisfying meal and good coffee, while providing a warm and welcoming space with unmatched hospitality. The small yet charismatic team do just that, creating a laidback, friendly atmosphere every day of the week.

A menu made up of coffee, paninis and juices means there’s nowhere to hide when it comes to quality – everything has to be perfect. Their success with this style of service proves that less can definitely be more.

Coffee is provided by Collingwood-based roaster Allpress, and the consistently great paninis are made fresh-to-order using sourdough bread made exclusively for the venue.  For something fresh and tangy, try the popular spicy tuna panini with jalapenos and dill. Pair this with the Global Passion juice – a refreshing blend of passionfruit, apple and ginger and you’ve got a complete meal.

The open warehouse building features a private meeting room, making it perfect for the local work crowd wanting to get out of the office. For those wanting to stretch their legs, the basketball hoops out front will provide some midday activity.

The experience at Coe & Coe is unlike anywhere else. Chances are you will be greeted with singing, dancing and plenty of laughs, making sure you’ll want to return time and time again.
