Tucked away among the hustle and bustle of Brunswick is your home away from home, Etta, Melbourne’s newest neighbourhood bistro. In what was once a run-down fish and chip joint, Etta’s funky contemporary vibe is putting a fresh feel on the Brunswick hotspot.

The hospitality dream team behind Etta is made up of Hayden McMillan of the Roving Marrow, Dominique Fourie McMillan of Cutler & Co and Hannah Green of Rosetta. Together they have assembled a relaxed dining experience in the hub of Brunswick’s food scene. The team are joined by a crew of Melbourne’s most passionate hospitality gurus to bring visitors a unique and personal experience.

Etta’s menu is designed to share, best enjoyed alongside a glass of wine from the extensive list featuring drops from across the globe. Hayden is making frequent changes to the menu, so regular visits are a must. You might be lucky to taste the mozzarella pasta with pea broccoli, or Flounder with green beans and almonds. For something sweet, opt for the fig tart with walnuts and balsamic ice cream or coconut fromage with nectarine and verjus. There are plenty of vegetarian options available, namely the eggplant schnitzel with soft polenta and spiced tomato, which is a sure crowd pleaser.

The contemporary eatery has an elegant yet homey feel, with marbled bench tops and backless banquettes to settle into for the evening with a glass of wine, delicious food and great company. Alternatively, sit up at the communal table and meet your neighbours over a delicious appetizer and a cocktail. The natural, wooden-based mossy décor sets a beautiful, yet approachable scene for everything from a full banquet meal to a quiet drink.

Etta’s doors are now open, and is serving dinner from 4pm on Wednesday to Saturday, and Sunday from 12pm, so stroll on in, put your feet up and enjoy.
