The Deck at Terindah Estate
90 McAdams Ln, Bellarine

Terindah Estate’s already stunning offerings have expanded with the launch of The Deck – a boutique wine bar with spectacular ocean views.
The Deck wraps around Terindah Estate’s cellar, looking out across the winery’s open lawns, throughout the vines and onto Port Philip Bay – it’s the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the summer sun.
Take a seat on the verandah or on one of the crisp white couches as you contemplate the award-winning wine list, recognised in the five-star rating from James Halliday, as well as Dark Horse of the Year for 2016.
If you’re celebrating a special occasion (or you’re just having a fantastic day), start with a glass of Method Traditionelle sparkling. The sparkling has a light, delicate bead with hints of citrus and brioche on the nose and a lingering vanilla finish.
Move onto the silver-medal winning pinot gris, which features a pale straw hue and a nose with aromatic hints of lemon, grapefruit and nectarine. Red drinkers must leave room for the shiraz – just one sip will reveal an expressive bouquet of black fruits with hints of tobacco, following onto a plush palate with balanced flavours of white pepper and ripe tannins.
When your stomach starts rumbling, turn your focus to The Deck at Terindah Estate’s selection of small plates – perfect for a relaxed dining experience. The menu features French-inspired dishes designed for sharing. The delicious yet simple offerings include saucisson d’Arles, duck terrine and camembert conquerent. Choose from pork rillettes with cornichons, rabbit and prune terrines, or chicken and brandy pate.
For a more formal dining experience, venture downstairs to The Shed at Terindah Estate, where Executive Chef, Lydon Betts, uses high quality, seasonal and local produce to create an a la carte menu designed to complement the estate-made wines, executed with true talent and unique flair.
While Terindah Estate is only an 80-minute drive from Melbourne, it’s now even easier to explore the Bellarine Peninsula, with Port Philip Ferries recently launching services between Docklands and Portarlington.
Terindah Estate has also partnered with Bennetts on Bellarine, Bellarine Estate Winery and Scotchmans Hill to offer a free bus service for wine lovers and explorers, leaving every half hour from the Portarlington Pier.
