Lemon Scented Scones

Using a mixer, combine the flour, sugar, butter, lemon rind, baking powder and salt. Slowly pour in the cream and lemonade and combine to create a dough.

Preheat oven to 180°C. Roll dough onto a floured bench to approximately 2cm thick. Cut out rounds about 4cm in diameter.

Set rounds about 5cm apart on a tray lined with baking paper. Using a pastry brush, glaze the top of each scone with milk.

Bake in oven for about 15 minutes, until risen and golden. Remove from oven and cool on rack.

To Serve

Dust with icing sugar and serve with cream and jam.
