Lamb chops in air fryer

Ingredients

  • Rack of lamb or chops?
  • Olive Oil
  • Fresh rosemary-about three sprigs
  • Fresh thyme – 1-2 sprigs
  • fresh garlic-minced
  • Kosher salt

Directions

  • STEP 1 In a large bowl, combine the garlic, olive oil, rosemary, and thyme. Add salt and pepper. Stir or whisk all the ingredients together.
  • STEP 2
  • Then, in batches, coat the lamb chops with the oil mixture. You may need to add one or two additional tablespoons of olive oil depending on how many chops you’re painting.
  • STEP 3
  • Then, place the lamb chops in the basket of the air fryer. Do not stack the chops or overlap them, as this may cause them not to cook evenly. Depending on which side your air fryer is, you may also need to cook in batches.
  • STEP 4
  • Air fry lamb chops for 10-12 mins to achieve medium doneness. Halfway through cooking, turn the lamp chops.
  • STEP 5
  • Let the lamb chops sit for 3-5 minutes after they have been cooked before serving.

Expert Tips

    • You can also buy the lamb chops already cut. You can buy the lamb chops pre-cut. As I already had the rack, I decided to cut it.
      • While preparing seasonings, allow the lamb chops to come to room temperature before cooking.
      • The cooking time can vary depending on how thick the lamb chops are. Use a Meat Thermometer to check the internal temperature.
      • This recipe is made in my Cosori Air Fryer. The cooking time will vary depending on the air fryer you use, oven size, and wattage.

Storing and Reheating

  • To store leftover lamb chops, cover or wrap them and place them in the fridge for up to 3-5 days. Place in an air fryer, and air fry for 2-5 mins at 380 degrees F or until the temperature reaches 145 degrees F.

    • Start with a rack and cut it into chops by cutting with the grain.
    • Combine oil, rosemary, and thyme in a medium-sized bowl. Add garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir together.
    • Add the lamb chops in batches and coat. Repeat the process until all lamb chops have been well coated in oil and seasonings.
    • Do not stack or overlap the lamb chops. If necessary, cook in batches.
    • Air fry for 10-12 mins at 380° F.
    • Let lamb chops rest for 3-5 minutes after cooking.
