These protein balls with dates are a delicious sweet treat!

What ingredients do I need to make these protein balls?

You will need the following ingredients to make this recipe:

  • Medjool Dates
  • Almond Meal
  • Coconuts with a Desiccated Skin
  • Coconut Oil
  • Golden Flaxseeds
  • Cacao
  • Chia Seeds

Do you have to use Medjool dates?

You can use pitted dates, but it is best to soak them in boiling water for 15-20 minutes.

Can I substitute ingredients in this recipe?

Yes, you can. It would help if you still used dates, as they are essential and help bind the mixture together when blitzed. If you don’t want to use the desiccated Coconut, add some extra almond meal or another type of ground nut to the mix to make it stick together.
